Memo:
In this article, Katz describes what Shared Reading Theater is and how it is different from the typical Readers' Theater strategy and also how it is different from shared reading and why it is not considered round-robin reading. The article offers extension activities for students to use following a shared reading theater activity. Katz also describes the procedure for choosing a text to read in shared reading theater and how to go about implementing it in the classroom. I found this article to be a great resource for me to take Readers' Theater and use it in different ways in my classroom.
